Introduction
Fremantle Wolves Futsal Club (FWFC) seeks to ensure that the privacy of each individual is respected in relation to their identity and to ensure that the use of all images portrays FWFC positively.
This policy serves to provide the guidelines and procedures regarding the taking of photographic images and video and audio recordings.
Policy Statement
Photographic images, audio and videos recorded at training, games, competitions, formal and social club events may be used by FWFC for the following purposes:
- Acknowledge the achievements and accomplishments of players, members and volunteers.
- Promote the activities of FWFC to the wider community.
- Record events to maintain a historical record of FWFC
Image Consent Policy
The FWFC policy is that coaches, members and parents aged 18 and over provide consent for the use of their image(s) in official FWFC social media campaigns or posts unless FWFC is advised otherwise.
The policy regarding individuals under the age of 18 years is that permission is granted by their parent or legal guardian when accepting a playing spot for their child at FWFC. This permission is for the use of an individual’s image for all publications, media communications and promotions and this permission applies to all images of the individual including photographic and video images. FWFC ensures that all imagery and media communications portray individuals and FWFC in a valued and positive way.
Parents or legal guardians grant permission via acceptance of a player position at FWFC to Fremantle Wolves Futsal Club to use, reproduce and communicate (in hardcopy or electronic format) any photographs, audio and/or video recordings taken of me for the following purposes:
Fremantle Wolves Futsal Club publications and promotional activities (including but not limited to Fremantle Wolves Futsal Club’s website and social media sites and promotional and marketing materials).
Parents and legal guardians acknowledge and agree that this may result in public disclosure of their image.
Fremantle Wolves Futsal Club agrees not to use your image in a manner that may be deemed adverse or defamatory. The image will remain the property Fremantle Wolves Futsal Club and any personal details regarding this image will be kept confidentially and will not be used for any purpose other than related to your image.
Please be aware that social media users may tag or share photos containing images of their own child, but other children may also be present in the same image. By accepting the FWFC Image Consent Policy, parents or legal guardians are agreeing to the above policy, and acknowledge that photographs of their child/children may be shared by other parents/ individuals/ sponsors on and via FWFC social media platforms. Parents and legal guardians also acknowledge that they understand that once an image has been used and shared online or in printed publications it will be very difficult to recall it if consent is withdrawn and that FWFC cannot control unauthorised use of shared images.
FWFC does not share or sell any images to any third party for commercial/marketing purposes and does not release any images unless required by law to do so.
Individuals are able to withdraw their consent in writing at any time.
Withdrawal of Consent
Individuals are able to modify or withdraw their consent in writing at any time. The use of an Individual’s image is only to be used for the duration that they are active with FWFC, although individuals who have left FWFC may be depicted in historical team or group player images in the FWFC archives or social media platforms or may be used for future promotional activities (for example where the player is in a group or team image), unless consent for the use of these images is explicitly withdrawn in writing by the parent or legal guardian.
Individuals can request to be contacted each time FWFC wishes to publish their image. Individuals can also specify publications they do not wish their image to appear in.
Once an individual withdraws consent or ceases to be a member or representative of FWFC, FWFC will cease to use their image, but is not required to withdraw any current or historical publications featuring their photo/video from circulation.
Record keeping
FWFC ensures the confidentiality of the completed consent withdrawal applications, photographs and recordings.
Images Recorded by Members or Volunteers
All photographic and video images taken by members and volunteers on behalf of FWFC are owned by FWFC regardless of who owns the equipment used to record the images.
